Baked Pull-Apart French Toast Recipe:

2 pounds challah or egg bread (I used 2- 1 pound loaves)

10 eggs

1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar

2 cups milk (I used skim)

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 cup chopped unsalted pecans

1/2 cup maple syrup

steps:

  1. Slice the loaves of bread into about 1 inch slices on the diagonal. (NOTE: DO NOT CUT ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM! Slice down about 3/4 of the way). Then, turn the loaf and slice the same way on the other diagonal.
